Frequently asked questions
What's a good gift for a firefighter?+
A personalized card of them with their station, rank, and years of service, sealed in a display case, and notes from the crew and family behind the card's QR code. It works for academy graduation, a promotion, or retirement. A Display Card is $29.99.
What's a good firefighter academy graduation gift?+
A rookie card: their academy photo or first day in gear on the front, the class year, and the family's notes behind the QR code.
What's a good firefighter retirement gift?+
A career card with their years of service and stations, and a note from everyone they served with behind the QR code. See also retirement trading cards.
Can we make cards for the whole station?+
Yes. A Card Pack is 10 cards, each with its own photo, name, and rank, for $49.99.
Can I put a department patch on the card?+
Cards are your own design and photos. Don't add official patches, badges, or emblems you don't have the right to use; a photo of them in gear tells the story.
What goes behind the QR code?+
Every Cardbop card is a Living Card: the QR code printed on the back opens a page that belongs to that card. You can add the story behind it, more photos from that day, links (a highlight video, a playlist, a shared album), and a note the person who gets it finds when they scan it. Only people with the card or its link can open the page, and the owner can make it private. The printed code never changes, so the page can be updated any time.
